SABMiller launched Miller Lite in Canada earlier this month

The Canadian division of SABMiller has extended its Miller Lite brand into the country.

The 4% abv lager has been available in the US since the 1970s, and was rolled out across Canada - except for Quebec - earlier this month. The variant has not been available in the country since 2010.

Although the price point was not specified, Miller Lite, which will be imported from the US, will be "priced at the same level as other mainstream light beer brands" in the country.

In full-year sales for the 12 months to the end of March, SABMiller reported in-line sales from North America, although sales to retailers of Miller Lite fell by low single-digits.
