The brand development company, co-founded by one of the creators of Patron Spirits, said today (11 June) that C2 Imports will be the importer of the Bavarian beer brand, in a “multi-year” exclusive deal. The tie-up takes immediate effect.

Rok Stars acquired a majority interest in the seven-centuries-old Aktien Brauerei in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria in May last year and has since re-packaged a range of its beers for international export, it said.

Rok Stars chairman, Jonathan Kendrick, said: “The American market, with its ever-increasing interest in - and consumption of - both craft and heritage beers is absolutely key to our global deployment plans for the beers which, for the first time since the brewery was founded in 1308, are now available for global distribution.”

Today's announcement follows the news last month that Rok Stars has lined up US distribution for its Uisce Beatha Irish whiskey brand through The Marsalle Co.
