The Ricard family has increased its stake in Pernod Ricard. In a filing issued by the French market watchdog yesterday (30 August), the family was seen to have spent €40m (US$48.9m) on increasing its holding in the wine and spirits group.

Societe Paul Ricard, the family holding company which is also Pernod Ricard's largest shareholder with a 9.7% stake, bought 291,000 shares between last Wednesday (24 August) and Monday, the filing said.
