Republic Beverage Company-USA has appointed a new head for its Arizona business.

The wine and spirits wholesale distributor confirmed earlier this week that Mark Moser has been promoted to president of Republic's operations in the state.

Moser has spent the last 17 years working for Republic-affiliated companies, most recently serving as executive vice-president of south-east Texas, covering the Houston market. Prior to Republic, Mark worked as a field marketing manager for E&J Gallo for five years.

"I look forward to working with Mark and watching him grow the Arizona market," said Bob Hendrickson, president of Open States at Republic.

The search for a replacement for Moser in south-east Texas has begun, the company noted.

Sectors: Spirits, Wine

Companies: E&J Gallo
