Parksuwan became CEO at Remy USA in 2010

The chief of Remy Cointreau's US division is to leave after 18 years with the company.

Suriya Parksuwan, who took the helm at Rémy Cointreau USA in 2010, is departing to "take his career in a different direction", Remy told just-drinks today. He will leave the group at the end of next month.

Philippe Farnier, Remy's senior VP for the Americas, will replace Parksuwan, the company said.

Before joining the US team, Parksuwan was MD of Rémy Cointreau South=East Asia based out of Singapore. He began his career at Rémy Cointreau USA and held several positions in sales and finance in New York and Paris before moving to Singapore.

In a trading update released last week, Remy's US unit led "strong growth" for the Americas region.
