Remy Cointreau has launched new packaging for its Passoa liqueur that pays homage to the brand's Brazilian roots.

The new bottle is the colour of the Brazil flag
The bottle, designed by Brazilian artist Kleber Matheus, will enter “selected” European markets and global Travel Retail this month, Remy said yesterday (27 May). The expression is available in 70cl, 75cl and, in Travel Retail, one-litre sizes.
“As you know, 2014 is a very special year for Brazil, so that’s why I was inspired by the flags and by Brazilian culture,” Matheus said.
Passoa was created in 1985 and uses the Brazilian passion fruit as its base flavour.
The packaging launch coincides with the start of the FIFA World Cup, kicking-off in Brazil next month. A number of firms have launched Brazil-themed beverages this year, including Robinsons Brewery's Brazilian beer and Pernod Ricard's Ballantine's Brasil.
