Rémy Cointreau has launched what it claims is "one of the world's first honey-flavoured French liqueurs" into global Travel Retail.

St-Rémy with French Honey, with an abv of 30%, is a blend of pure honey, made by bees that have collected their nectar from meadows in southern France, combined with the taste of St-Rémy French brandy, according to the company.

Martine Pain, St-Rémy's cellar master, said the drink is “a highly refined liqueur characterised by malted, flowery, woody and fruity notes.

St-Rémy with French Honey is designed to be drunk as a shot, or with a mixer, such as cola, Rémy said.

Last month, the company reported a slight dip in first-half group net profits and sales
