Purple Beverage Company has secured a roster entry with consumer product broker Morgan & Sampson (M&S) in the US.

The soft drinks company said yesterday (4 February) that its namesake antioxidant drink will join household names including Kleenex and Remington on M&S's roster, which services the Safeway, Costco and Albertson's chains, among others, across the country.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Morgan & Sampson USA as part of our national rollout strategy," said Purple's founder and CEO, Ted Farnsworth. "They have been instrumental in launching new brands to the marketplace that soon become household names

"Although Purple has been available in select stores nationwide since the product launched in 2007, our goal has always been to bring this … beverage to consumers everywhere. Teaming with M&S USA means that Purple will now be as close to many consumers as the shelves of their neighbourhood grocery store."

The tie-up with M&S pre-empts a national rollout for Purple, which is currently available only in select locations including New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Hawaii.

"With the strength of Morgan and Sampson USA's name behind it, our scope of distribution should increase dramatically over the next 60 to 90 days," Farnsworth concluded.

Purple is a blend of seven of antioxidant juices, including the acai berry, black cherry, pomegranate, blackcurrant, purple plum, cranberry and blueberry.
