Purple Beverage Co. has updated its ticker symbol on the OTC Bulletin Board.

The soft drinks company, which develops, markets, and distributes its antioxidant brand Purple, said yesterday (7 January), that its common stock, which became publicly tradable under the symbol REDZ, will now trade under PPBV.

The new symbol, which was changed to an abbreviation of 'Purple Beverage', is an effort to raise further brand awareness, the company said.

Purple Beverage CEO Ted Farnsworth said: "We are delighted that our new ticker symbol 'PPBV' is more associated with our brand. That was the next logical step to further enhance awareness for Purple.

Farnworth added that the alteration was part of the companies continued "sales and marketing efforts to secure additional shelf space for our products on a national scale".
