Purity Vodka has promoted general manager Brian Citron to the role of president & CEO.
Citron replaces Andy Glaser, who left the company at the end of 2014. A spokesperson for Purity told just-drinks that Citron stepped up to the GM role following Glaser's departure. He assumed the president & CEO role this month.
The company said Citron, who was VP for sales prior to becoming GM, had been responsible for developing the brand's US growth since 2013.
"The board of directors recognises the strong sales growth that Purity Vodka has undergone over the last four years, within an increasingly competitive category, under Brian Citron's leadership," says company chairman Alf Tonnesson. "We are confident that Brian's vision for the brand will continue to establish Purity Vodka as a leading player in the ultra-premium category."
Prior to Purity, Citron was VP of business for Belvedere vodka at Moet Hennessy USA and held sales and marketing positions at Heineken USA and Fiji Water.
