UK-based Purity Brewing Co has appointed two directors as it hails the growth of its craft beers.

The brewer has appointed C&C Group's Andrew Cross to the role of sales and marketing director. Cross replaces sales director Darryl Hinksman, who left to join cider maker Westons.

Meanwhile, Jamie Hirst takes on the newly-created operations director position. He was previously national operations director at DHL. Both Cross and Hirst took up the posts this month.

The company announced the appointments following a 40% sales increase for its craft beers over the past 12 months. Purity aims to triple turnover in the next three years.

"The scale of what we have achieved over the past ten years has been the result of a lot of hard work, dedication and most importantly, our fantastic team at the brewery," said founder Paul Halsey. "With the growth that we are set to experience, the only way we will succeed is by adding strength in depth to the family. We have no doubt that Andrew and Jamie will be excellent additions."
