Pura Vida Tequila Co has upped its presence in the US with the appointment of a chief marketing officer.
Christopher Novosad, who will work out of Texas, is set to assume the role at the Mexico-based company, joining from the Houston Grand Opera where he had been director of public relations.
Novosad will “support the lead generation of the sales team and Pura Vida Tequila branding through internet-based advertising, content marketing, traditional and non-traditional public relations, podcasts and social-media initiatives”, the firm said earlier this week.
Pura Vida Tequila is being introduced into the Texas market, with a line of ultra-premium Tequilas consisting of Silver, Gold and Anejo variants. An Extra-Anejo label will be released towards the end of this year, with the company set to extend into California in 2012.
