The Australian winemaker Peter Lehmann Wines (PLW) has said that it is to begin talks with the UK-based Allied Domecq over a distribution agreement within week. Allied recently increased its shareholding in PLW to 14.5%, raising speculation of a takeover. Subsequently Allied has said that it would be interested in a distribution agreement with PLW for the UK and US markets.
