The soon-to-be vacated brewery at Pleven in Bulgaria has attracted the interest of local entrepreneurs who are planning a new brewery for the site, according to city mayor Naiden Zelenogorski.

Global brewer InBev announced earlier this week that it is to cease operations at Pleven and transfer operations to its remaining two facilities in the country.

Mayor Zelenogorski said that work on the new facility will begin early next year. He did not reveal the identities of the new investors.
