Piper-Heidsieck has launched two Champagne expressions under its prestige cuvée brand, Rare. Rare Le Secret High Jewellery is limited to ten bottles world-wide. Each bottle features a single, precious stone of at least one carat - diamond, ruby, sapphire or emerald - embedded "in the heart of interwoven bands of gold set with 510 diamonds". The variant forms part of a partnership with jeweller Mellerio.

Rare Le Secret High Jewellery is priced at GBP115,000 (US$151,000) per magnum and one each of the sapphire, ruby and emerald editions is available exclusively from Harrods in the UK. The price also includes a trip to Mellerio in Paris to have the magnum adornment tailored into a bespoke jewellery piece.

Meanwhile, Rare Le Secret Goldsmith, which is limited to 1,000 magnums, is priced at GBP1,150 per bottle. Fifty of the numbered magnums will be available exclusively from Harrods in the UK.
