Peter Lehmann Wines has launched a new offering aimed at the on-trade across the UK.

The Australian winery said today (24 September) that its on-trade label, named My Word is My Bond, will include six wines specifically chosen for their food-matching characteristics. The wines will be distributed in the country by Enotria.

"For any wine at any level to be successful in the on-trade it must over-deliver in terms of quality for price and be intrinsically recognisable by the consumer," said Enotria buying manager Daniel Hart. "The My Word Is My Bond range is Barossa through and through and neatly encapsulates our mantra for supplying regionally expressive wines that over-deliver in quality and at the right price."

The full range includes a Chenin Blanc, a Riesling, a Semillon, a Grenache, a Shiraz and a Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine will retail in restaurants between GBP17 to GBP23 (US$34 to $47) per bottle.

In May, Peter Lehmann teamed up with Entoria to distribute and market the Barossa winery's range in the UK and Ireland markets in an effort to raise the brand's profile in the on-trade.
