Pernod Ricard's Scotch unit, Chivas Brothers, has added a third expression to its Longmorn range - Longmorn 23 Year Old.

The whisky joins Longmorn The Distiller's Choice as well as Longmorn 16 Year Old, which has now been been reformulated to include a higher proportion of first-fill American oak casks. Longmorn 23 Year Old is aged in oak casks, is non-chill-filtered and has notes of pear and red apples.

Miriam Eceolaza, Longmorn brand director at Chivas Brothers, said: "Through the addition of Longmorn 23 Year Old and the new Longmorn 16 Year Old, we are excited to unveil the newly-complete Longmorn range to Scotch whisky aficionados around the world as it represents the ultimate luxury Scotch whisky experience from the distillery."

This month, Chivas Brothers also unveiled a new expression in its Chivas Regal range. Chivas Regal Ultis is a so-called "luxury" blend and is the first blended malt in the Chivas portfolio.
