Pernod Ricard is to launch an entry-level wine range in the UK aimed at Millennials.

Jacob's Creek Sun Craft is designed to "simplify the message around wine" and be "easy to remember, easy to recall", Pernod said today. There are five expressions in the range - Bold Red, Soft Red, Crisp White, Fruity White and Soft Rose.

Pernod's UK head, Denis O'Flynn, said: "Some of the stuff around wine is getting too fussy and they [Millennials] want a more simple message."

The range will initially be available in the UK off-trade but O'Flynn said a wider roll out could follow. "We have succesfully gone into the on-trade with Campo Viejo and the Jacob's Creek screw cap so we'll see how [Sun Craft] goes," he said.

In January, Accolade Wines said its Echo Falls Fruit Fusion range, also known as Echo Fruit, had passed the 1m-case mark just 18 months after launching.
