Consumers must hunt for five bottles

Pernod Ricard's Olmeca Tequila brand has launched an online treasure hunt for consumers in South Africa, as part of its Ibiza summer promotion in the country.

The campaign sees consumers chase down five hidden bottles of Olmeca on a customised Google map of Ibiza, Olmeca said. Those who uncover the bottles will be in with a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the Spanish island in September.

“The treasure hunt is a fun and engaging way of raising brand awareness and increasing consumer loyalty and we’re confident that this campaign will go a long way in terms of cementing the brands’ positioning as a leader in the nightlife scene,” Olmeca Tequlila SA brand manager Renzo Puccini said.

Last month, Pernod Ricard unveiled new packaging for Olmeca Altos across 17 markets.
