Pernod Ricard has announced a management shake-up across Asia

Pernod Ricard has announced a host of executive appointments within its Asia and travel retail units.

Among the changes, announced yesterday (29 April), Thibaut de Poutier de Sone, currently the group's Asia duty free MD, has been appointed executive VP of commercial development. In the role, de Sone will handle the group's luxury route-to-market strategy, it said.

Meanwhile, Con Constandis, currently Pernod's China MD, has been appointed head of Pernod Ricard Asia travel retail. This is a newly-created subsidiary, incorporating the duty-free activities of Pernod Ricard China and Pernod Ricard Japan with Pernod Ricard Asia Duty Free, the group said.

As a result, Horace Ngai, currently deputy MD sales & marketing of Pernod Ricard China, will succeed Constandis as MD of Pernod Ricard China.

Other changes at Pernod will see Patrick Castanier become MD of Thailand; Gaurav Sabharval to take the role of Singapore MD; and Terence Ong become the group's Malaysia MD.

All the appointments are effective from 1 July.
