Pernod Ricard's Scotch whisky and gin unit, Chivas Brothers, has lined up a raft of limited edition gift sets for its portfolio in the run-up to Christmas.

Brands including Beefeater, The Glenlivet, Ballantine's and Chivas Regal will benefit from the festive packs, the division said late last week. The gift sets will be available across international markets.

Firstly, Chivas Regal will be available in a pack designed by artist Alex Trochut in key markets globally. The design incorporates a monogram based on the twists of a steel ribbon,while the tin has a metallic finish. Ballantine's Finest, meanwhile, will come in a gift tin highlighting the brand's centenary. The pack also includes a 'B' embossed ice cube tray.

The pack for Ballantine's 12 Year Old will have a 3D effect, designed to create the illusion that it is wrapped in a tartan ribbon and secured with a metal seal.

Finally, single malt The Glenlivet is introducing three gift sets for its 12, 15 and 18 Year Old expressions. The 70cl bottles will be housed in a dark green, red and blue box respectively, featuring the brand's crest and age statement.

Earlier this year, Chivas Brothers announced the launch of a limited edition winter brand extension for its Beefeater gin brand.
