Pernod Ricard is set to launch its Redbreast 12 Cask Strength Irish whiskey across the US.

The company, which launched the single pot still whiskey in Ireland, France and Germany in September, confirmed today that it will hit the US next month. While Irish, French and German consumers are paying between EUR65 (US$87.50) and EUR69 for a 70cl bottle, US drinkers can expect a SRP of $65 per 75cl bottle.

The variant will be available in both the on- and off-trade in the country.

“Irish Whiskey is by far the fastest growing US spirits category and includes the fastest growing premium spirit brand in the US, Jameson,” said Wayne Hartunian, VP of whiskeys and Cognac at Pernod Ricard USA. “The super-premium segment represents a great opportunity for growth as more high-end single malt, Bourbon and blended whisky drinkers are looking to expand their repertoire.”

Redbreast is the only remaining traditional Irish pot still whiskey brand available in the US, according to Pernod Ricard.
