Pernod Ricard UK and Martell Cognac are launching Martell Noblige in a move to strengthen the group's Cognac offering in the UK.

Noblige, which will be aimed at young successful professionals, is being released at premium bars and restaurants in London before the product is rolled out nationally next year.

Chris Seale, head of Champagnes & Cognac at the group, said: "Noblige is a bold new offering for the UK and we are confident that it will appeal to charismatic and independently minded people who want to experience something unique. Noblige is a superior cognac and truly in a class of its own."

The introduction of Noblige in the UK follows the launch of Martell XO late last year, which is now served in over 100 London bars and restaurants. Martell XO will this year be offered in a premium gift pack in Harvey Nichols, where sampling activity be used to drive sales in the lead up to Christmas.
