UK: Pernod brings sparkling Montana wine to UK
The UK arm of the drinks company said today (26 February) that Montana Brut 2006 will be available in the country from next month. The RRP for a bottle of the New Zealand sparkling wine will be GBP8.99 (US$17.64) in the off-trade.
"The wine has been in development for two-and-a-half years and is differentiated from Lindauer Brut and Lindauer Special Select by its more Blanc de Blancs style, being 80% Chardonnay, versus Lindauer which is predominantly Pinot Noir," said Pernod UK's wine development director, Adrian Atkinson.
Montana Brut will be available from Tesco from mid-March, with Threshers offering the wine from mid-April and Majestic coming on board from early May.
