PepsiCo said Yankees star Aaron Judge will be the face of Pepsi next season

The firm said yesterday that Judge, a New York Yankees player and described as a member of the team's 'Baby Bombers' generation of young talent, will serve as the face of Pepsi. Judge will bring "the excitement of this season" to Yankees and Pepsi fans in the US, from the 2018 season, PepsiCo said.

Justin Toman, senior director, sports marketing, at PepsiCo described Judge as "one of the biggest rising stars in baseball". He said the firm is "looking forward to working together to engage baseball enthusiasts in new and unique ways next season and beyond".

Earlier this year, The Coca-Cola Co ended PepsiCo's almost two-decade sponsorship of Major League Baseball in the US, with its own multi-year agreement to become the official soft drinks partner of the top US baseball tier.
