Tom Greco, chief commercial officer of PepsiCo's Americas Beverages business, said there were no plans for a future spin-off of the bottlers. His comments were reported by Reuters and came at a conference hosted by industry magazine Beverage Digest.

PepsiCo completed the US$7.8bn takeover of PepsiAmericas and Pepsi Bottling Group in March.

In the same week, The Coca-Cola Co announced that it would acquire the North America operations of Coca-Cola Enterprises.
