PepsiCo has unveiled a new Pepsi ad that is set to be a key feature of the company's Super Bowl activation this weekend.

The 'This Is the Pepsi' spot, narrated by TV host Jimmy Fallon and featuring celebrities of Pepsi's past and present including Cindy Crawford and Michael Jackson, has rolled out to Pepsi's social media channels, PepsiCo said today. The ad takes viewers through the history of Pepsi-related pop culture and also has a cameo from the Back to the Future DeLorean time machine.

A 30-second version of the commercial will air during this Sunday's Super Bowl LII, with a 60-second spot available to view online. The ad marks the US launch of Pepsi's global, year-long creative campaign, 'Pepsi Generations', rolling out across the full Pepsi portfolio - Pepsi, Pepsi Zero Sugar and Diet Pepsi (Pepsi Max in some markets).  

The spot was first announced last month as PepsiCo revealed that supermodel Crawford would return as the face of Pepsi after partnering with the brand in the 1990s.
