Canadian singer Michael Bublé will star in a Super Bowl commercial for Pepsico's Bubly sparkling water brand.

The 30-second spot, called 'Can I have a Bublé?', will air during Super Bowl LIII on 3 February. The ad also features four new Bubly flavours: Blackberrybubly, Cranberrybubly, Raspberrybubly and Peachbubly. They join the existing eight flavours, all of which contain no artificial flavours, sweeteners or calories.

"Just a year after the brand's ... 2018 launch, on track to exceed US$100m in retail sales in its first year, the Bubly Super Bowl ad showcases its upbeat and playful persona," said PepsiCo this week. "With a growing flavour line-up, and the coveted Super Bowl spot, PepsiCo continues to demonstrate its commitment to its water portfolio."

The Super Bowl attracts campaigns from soft drinks firms and brewers as they vie to be the drink of choice during the sporting event. Earlier this week, Anheuser-Busch InBev handed a debut Super Bowl commercial slot to its alcoholic seltzer brand, Bon & Viv's Spiked Seltzer.

According to Statista, an average 30-second ad spot during the Super Bowl broadcast cost an estimated US$5m in 2017.
