PepsiCo is reported to be reducing the headcount in its Chicago office

PepsiCo is set to make an unspecified number of redundancies at its office in Chicago. 

In a statement to just-drinks, a PepsiCo spokesperson said the number of Chicago employees affected will be "minimal". 

"We believe the actions we are taking are necessary for the long-term health of our businesses and position us for continued healthy, sustainable growth, and PepsiCo remains committed to having a strong presence in Chicago," the spokesperson added. The move is part of a previously announced "productivity plan". 

In the group's nine-month net results, it reported a 4% rise in net profits, while beverage volumes were up 1%
