PepsiCo has launched a pineapple-flavoured Pepsi as the company continues to try out new flavours from its flagship soft drinks brand.

Pepsi Pineapple replaces Pepsi Lime in US retail

Pepsi Pineapple was released last month into Walmart stores in the US, a PepsiCo spokesperson confirmed to just-drinks today. The variant is a permanent addition to the Pepsi stable and retails in 8x12oz slimline cans.

The new flavour is a replacement for Pepsi Lime, which was launched last year as part of a new portfolio of Pepsi flavours. The spokesperson said the other two extentions to the range - Pepsi Berry and Pepsi Mango - will continue to be carried.

Both The Coca-Cola Co and PepsiCo are being bolder with flavour innovations around their flagship sodas. In 2018, Coca-Cola launched Coke California Raspberry and Coke Georgia Peach in 12oz glass bottles. This year in Japan, the company rolled out Coca-Cola Strawberry.
