PepsiCo is planning to launch a new drink under its SoBe label, according to reports in Beverage Digest.

The world's number two soft drink company is to roll out "Mr. Green," a green-tinted carbonated soft drink with caffeine and ginseng. The drink will be launched under Pepsi's SoBe New Age beverage line and will bear the SoBe green lizard on its 20-ounce bottle.

According to reports it has a taste similar to Dr Pepper but John Bello, SoBe's chief executive and president, was quoted as saying that Mr. Green isn't meant to be a direct competitor to Dr Pepper. "It isn't that exactly," Bello said. "It has a very complex flavour."
