Andres Wines Ltd said yesterday (15 August) that the Peller Family has advised it of its intention to sell up to an aggregate of 30,000 Class A Non-Voting Shares (Class A shares) of the corporation for the purposes of tax and estate planning.

If the sale is completed, the selling shareholder will be Jalger Limited (the controlling shareholder of the Corporation). Any sale will be completed through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange, subject to market and other conditions.

In a statement, the company said that Jalger first expressed an interest to sell shares on 9 December, 2004 and to date has sold 13,200 shares.

Following its sale of Class A shares, Jalger Limited will continue to hold, both directly and indirectly, more than 560,956 (14.3%) of the outstanding Class A shares and 666,468 (66.5%) of the outstanding Class B shares.
