Following its recently completed acquisition of the company, Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG), is to close the Kitchener Beverages bottling plant in Kitchener, Ontario. The plant, which employs 65 people, will close at the beginning of January.

However, PBG spokesperson, Kelly McAndrew, said there would be opportunities for some staff to transfer to PBG plants in neighbouring areas such as Hamilton, Mississauga, London and Owen Sound.
