Patron Spirits has poached a former Bacardi executive to head up its Europe, Middle East and Africa business.

Matthias Knoll has taken on the role of VP for the regions with immediate effect, replacing John Kamviselis, the Tequila producer said today. Knoll, previously in charge of Bacardi's spirits business in eight central and north European markets, will report to Patron's president, international, and global chief operating officer Dave Wilson.
