The brand, whose portfolio comprises three expressions, was launched in Chicago three years ago. Until now, Parce has only been available in Illinois and "other select markets", Turquoise Life said this week.

The agreement will see Turquoise Life handle the three-, eight- and 12-year-old Parce iterations in "all major markets throughout the country".

"We are extremely pleased that Turquoise Life will now serve as the exclusive importer of Parce Rum to the US," said Parce Rum CEO Jim Powers. "Turquoise Life's dedicated team has a winning combination of sales savvy and visionary drive perfectly suited for our small batch, hand bottled rums."

Turquoise Life's president, Tunch Doker, added: "As the leading ultra-premium blended rum from Colombia, Parce is a natural fit for our portfolio. We are ecstatic to grow the Parce brand across the country."

The Parce range will roll out in both the on- and off-premise channels at the start of next month.

The word 'Parce' is Medellín street slang for 'friend'.
