The Finnish beer group, Olvi, has increased its stake in the Latvian brewer, Cesu Alus, from 60.5% to 90.9% for €3.7m (US$3.65m) through a new share issue.

Cesu Alus recorded a turnover €2.7m in 2001 and had a 7.2% share of the Latvian beer market in the first quarter of 2002.
