A number of New Zealand's premium wineries have joined forces to collectively promote themselves on export markets, according to local reports.

Some 12 wineries have set up The Twelve - New Zealand's Wine Family, with Richard Riddiford from Palliser Estate as the organisation's first chairman.

Australia's Courier-Mail said today (31 January) that the group would also include one of New Zealand's largest wine producers, Villa Maria, as well as its smaller counterparts, including Ata Rangi and Neudorf.
