Diageo has launched two new premium strength RTDs to its Bundaberg Rum and Johnnie Walker brands.

The company said today (24 August) that, this month, both Bundaberg Rum Premium Strength & Cola and Johnnie Walker Premium Strength & Cola have been introduced in the on and off-premise trade.

The launch was supported by a A$2m (US$1.64m) sales and marketing campaign, including outdoor advertising, POS, sampling, trade press and customer launches.

Diageo Australia innovation director Alex Tomlin said: "We conducted in-depth consumer tests and the results exceeded our expectations - many could not believe a premium variant did not already exist for Bundaberg Rum and Johnnie Walker."

The new RTDs will be available in gold packaging and will retail at A$22 for six pack cans and $15 for six pack bottles.
