Wines of Argentina has announced a new managing director in Argentina. Fernando Farré will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of the Wines of Argentina campaign worldwide in the new role.

Farré has spent eight years with L'Oréal both in Argentina and abroad.

In a statement, Roberto Luka, president of Wines of Argentina, said: "We have purposefully chosen someone who is not from the wine industry, as we feel that a 'fresh pair of eyes' will be an invaluable asset when devising a successful long-term strategy to promote Argentine wines in the UK and other key export markets."

"I am delighted to be working with Wines of Argentina, and look forward to implementing a campaign that will result in Argentine wines taking their rightful place as some of the best produced worldwide," Farré added.

Farré's first experience of Argentinean wines in the UK will be at the Wines of Argentina generic tasting on 20 September at Lord's Cricket Ground Nursery Pavilion in London.
