Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling has named a new president and chief executive. Larry Young will assume both positions from 2 May.

The Dallas-based company, which is jointly-owned by Cadbury Schweppes and Carlyle Group LP, said yesterday (11 April) that Young will replace Jim Turner who is retiring.

Young most recently worked at PepsiAmericas Inc. as executive vice president of corporate affairs. He is also a member of the Dr Pepper Bottlers Association board.
