Bordeaux wine merchant, Barton & Guestier, has a new CEO in the shape of Olivier Marc, effective last month.

He succeeds Nicolas Gailly who has retired. In July last year, the company was acquired by French drinks group Castel Frères, from Diageo's US wine business, Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines.

Marc will continue to occupy his post of financial director at Castel. Barton & Guestier  posted a 2010 turnover of EUR25m (US$36m), from volumes of 110,000 bottles of wine.
