National Beverage Corp, the US soft drinks group, has reported rises in net sales and profits for its fiscal full-year.

Net sales for the 12 months to 2 May rose by 1.6% to US$575m, while net profits increased by 10% to $24.7m, compared to a year earlier, National Beverage Corp said yesterday (16 July).

Fourth quarter profits rose by 23% to $6.8m.

The company has been boosted by consumers trading down on drinks in the economic downturn, it said.

The group said it saw volume growth on its value drinks brands, such as sparkling LaCroix waters and Everfresh/Mr. Pure juices.
