The US soft drinks producer National Beverage Corp saw its sales in its first quarter reach US$145.7m with earnings of US$8.5m, or $.46 per share. This compared to last year's figures for the same period of US$142.9m with earnings of US$8.1m or US$.44 per share.

"Additional revenue growth for the quarter was curtailed by cooler temperatures and inclement conditions, along with delayed new product introductions," the company said in a statement.

National Beverage produces soft drinks, bottled waters, juices and juice products including the brands Shasta, Faygo, Ritz, Everfresh, Mr. Pure and LaCroix.
