Canadian brewer Molson Inc, which is in negotiations to merge with Adolph Coors, said yesterday that it will build a C$35m brewery in New Brunswick. It hopes theproject will allow it to cut costs and compete more effectively in the region.
The brewery is expected to be completed by 2007 and is expected to have a capacity of 250,000 hl annually.

The plant will produce key Molson brands, such as Canadian and Coors Light for the regional market. It will also be used to help boost the export business.
