Running during the period between the football season ending in May and restarting in August, both on- and off-trade promotions will be supported by out-of-home activity and TV advertising. The promotion will also feature former Premier League and England footballer, Jimmy Bullard, who will launch a ‘Shirt Amnesty’.

During the summer transfer window, fans can trade in a football shirt with the name of a recently-sold player on the back for a new one, at no cost to the fan.

Other promotions include vouchers for football shirts.

Jim Shearer, Carling brand director at Molson Coors, said: "Our ambition for Carling is to energise and drive long-term sustainable growth of the familiar favourite lager category by focusing on adding value through promotions at the moments that matter most to consumers."

Earlier this month, Molson Coors launched a GBP5.4m campaign for its Carling Cider brand.
