Molson Coors Beverage Co has unveiled a new corporate logo as the brewer pivots towards a broader drinks portfolio.

The new logo and identity launched yesterday across the company's digital platforms. The logo was designed to "give equal prominence to both Molson and Coors", according to the company.

MCBC announced in October it was to change its name from Molson Coors as part of a global business restructure. The Coors Light owner is looking to focus on higher-growth beverage categories such as hard seltzer alongside its core beer brands.

MCBC said the logo uses a "new, modern colour palette... to convey a bright and optimistic future". 

"Modern brands are simple and use colour and font to help convey the right emotions," said Sofia Colucci, Molson Coors' vice president of North American innovations, who helped lead development of the new logo and identity. "We wanted to strike the right balance of conveying our heritage in beer but also symbolising a deliberate step into different beverages."
