Glenmorangie has lined up the launch of the third iteration in its Bond House No. 1 Vintage limited release series. The 1993 expression, which launches this month, was finished in ex-Madeira casks.
Grand Vintage Malt 1993 has been matured for 1ten0 years in ex-Bourbon casks before spending 15 years in Bual Madeira casks - the longest Madeira finish achieved by Glenmorangie's director of whisky creation, distilling & whisky stocks, Bill Lumsden. The 25-year-old single malt is the first Travel Retail exclusive in the collection.
The Bond House No 1 series was launched in late-2016 with a 1990 expression. A further release, the Grand Vintage Malt 1989, was released to the global off-premise earlier this year.
The name of the series comes from Glenmorangie's first maturation warehouse.
