Moet Hennessy has introduced a low-dosage Champagne under its Veuve Clicquot brand. Extra Brut, Extra Old, described as an "exclusive expression of Yellow Label", is a blend of reserve wines from 1988-2010. The Champagne contains a dosage of 3g per litre, compared to 10g per litre for Veuve Clicquot's Yellow Label.

"I wanted to create a low-dosage Champagne in the Veuve Clicquot style," said Dominique Demarville, cellar master at Veuve Clicquot. "I therefore chose wines that were the most representative of these characteristics, the way the wines have been aged in vats, on the lees, according to our tradition means that this product captures the... Clicquot spirit."

Last year, Moet Hennessy launched a rosé Champagne designed to be served over ice, called Veuve Clicquot Rich Rosé.
