The Mexican brewer Grupo Modelo, which is half owned by Anheuser-Busch, has said it estimates 5% growth in its 2003 US exports.

Talking to the Reuters news service, the company said it also plans to increase prices on two of its leading brands, its 12 oz. Corona and Corona Light beers, its two top sellers in the US, effective from January next year.

Modelo exports around 9m litres of beer to the US each year.
