McGuigan Simeon Wines and Vinoceros have dissolved their partnership in the UK after 14 years.

The Australian wine company revealed the split today (19 December) and said it would make an announcement on the future distribution of its wines in the UK in due course.

Vinoceros was the first appointed distributor for the McGuigan portfolio of wines in the UK, McGuigan said, and helped grow sales of McGuigan Black Label to over 300,000 nine-litre cases through its targeting of the independent sector.

"We have enjoyed a long and successful trading relationship with Vinoceros, and thank them for all their support and enthusiasm over the last 14 years," said McGuigan's managing director Dane Hudson.

Last month, McGuigan warned that first-half profits will come in over 50% below earnings last year. The company said that its figures will take a beating from the grape glut currently swamping Australia.
